Saudi Arabia and United States have many long standing economic and defense ties. US have demonstrated strong security commitments towards Saudi. One of the key members of the coalition that helped in expelling Iraqi forces from Kuwait in 1991. After much successful cooperation, United States withdrew it forces from Saudi by 2003. Saudi had given its support to US after the 2001 attacks and since 2003. Saudi have done intelligence sharing, law enforcement activities and also have done tracking of terrorist financing with US. Saudi being the oil reservoir of the world has gained much importance in this world and has gained power due to its economical strength.
